The city of New York have decided to turn off major and unnecasarry lighting sooner so birds wont crash into them.This new idea for turning lights off at certain times is starting to become active nation wide.The idea was thought of many years ago, but never was really important to anyone until the death of birds became higher.Birds migrate during fall and again in april.the program will most likely only be active during those months.A way people are trying to prevent birds from crashing into glass is giving it a UV coating wich makes is visiblle.
This is important.more than 100 million birds die every year from hitting houses or buildings.this is an effective way to save electricity and lives!
